Women's Empowerment Takeover!

Happy Sunday Luvs!  Women's Empowerment Weekend sparked several events this year leading up to the main event yesterday at PNC Arena! Raleigh was on fire all week long and you know your favorite blog had to capture a few moments! First stop was the "Ladies First" Showcase at Kings in Raleigh of female artists from NC that tore the stage down with all levels of R&B soulfulness. It was an eclectic array of performers and I've never been to an all female performance like this. It was a momentous occasion and the male supporters were swooning in the audience. Hosted by K 97.5 & Real RNB Radio Personality Mir.I.am and Toya J with DJ Fannie Mae on the turntables you know the laughs kept rolling throughout the night! Followed by Friday night's Queens & Cocktails "Women in Unity" event at Noir hosted Mir.I.Am. There was also a Women's Empowerment Gala to honor women making great strides in their communities and a VIP Breakfast yesterday to kick-off the Women's Empowerment Show! The Keynote Speaker was non other than the empowering "How to Get Away with Murder" star Viola Davis. Talk about Black Girl Magic!

So here's how it all went down........
