Luxury Tax Films

Happy Tuesday Luvs!

Social Media has been the wave of commercial marketing and branding for years now. Once you've reached expert level on one social media app another emerges. Now we are seeing people visually be more creative capturing professional images of their brand or talent to share with the world. That's where Luxury Tax Films comes in as an innovative source of videography to capture experiences not just moments. Based in Raleigh, North Carolina the CEO Lansky has provided branding resources for some of the best in entertainment such as Doug E. Fresh, The Making of Dame Dash and Kanye West, and the Migos Live "Dab Tour" just to name a few. Its their attention to detail, high-quality production, and support to local artists in the community that makes them a "must-have" essential branding connection. I had the opportunity to speak with the CEO of Luxury Tax Films, Lansky, about how he created his brand and what's next for Luxury Tax Films.

So here's how it all went down........

How did your experiences begin in music and film?

It started with a different company first and at that time it was mostly music. Years later I took up film and then came Luxury Tax Films. I started from the level of having the opportunity to film movies and music videos so it kind of started from there.

How did you come up with the name?

That's a great question. Just being familiar with what Luxury Tax means with the MBA and things like that. I thought I would put together this dream team of guys whom are filmmakers and it was just an interesting play on words. So I just kind of hired like a dream team because everyone was a professional so there is no big story to it really.

What has been your favorite project to date so far?

The tour we did with Waka Flocka that was probably one of the best experiences I've had doing film. We were with his demographic and we were able to capture it all. It was probably over 100,000 people we were able to capture and we were with him in Ohio. I have never seen anything like that and all of the entertainment projects we do including independent films as well. I like owning my own masters.

What is your source of inspiration?

That's another great question. I find inspiration in being an entrepreneur and just being independent. I guess myself honestly. Where I'm from a lot of people don't have the opportunity I have so I find inspiration in the opportunity to show all my people that are where I'm from that you can do something different. You can be an entrepreneur. So I find inspiration in just that by being a boss. I grew up in a small town near Wilmington, North Carolina so being near Wilmington and getting to see movies being filmed down there was inspiring. Seeing Dawson's Creek growing up was really inspiring to see.

What type of services do you offer?

We offer a full-range of services including marketing, promotions, merchandising, brand sponsorship, license synchronization, commercials, music videos, films, branding content, and we also have a music post production service that we provide for the mix and mastering for artist's albums or mixtapes.

What your thoughts about social media?

I think social media is probably the most important marketing tool you can have. We promote off of Instagram and to me it has merged the gap between major and minor entrepreneurs.

What do you like to do outside of your business in your down time?

In my downtime I love flying planes so when I'm not filming I like to go to this particular company and they allow me to go up and fly. That's how I like to unwind now that I'm older and when your a business owner you don't have a lot of free time. So I like to fly that's my little escape.

Any upcoming projects?

I have a couple of things in the next quarter we are releasing two DVDs. One is Celebrity Clientele which is a DVD about all of the clients we've had so far to give our fans a visual of what we are doing. Also, we have coming out No Holds Barred and this shows how relevant North Carolina is in the entertainment industry. North Carolina is a small market and a lot of times it is not considered as a music or film market in the industry. So we are disputing that and showing that North Carolina is relevant in the industry. We have a long way to go but we've been relevant for awhile. I also have a compilation album coming out in the 4th quarter called Cash or Credit which features some of the best artists in North Carolina. Artists that I feel are on the forefront of becoming greater.

Luxury Tax Films is offering a diverse dynamic of artistic creatives who embrace the culture of where they are from. That is one of the main reasons The Lux Blog was created so we could showcase individuals who offer art, culture, style, and entertainment in North Carolina. We wish continued success to Luxury Tax Films in all of their endeavors.
